Registration: Talk on Preventing Falls
Falls are a leading cause of injury, but are not inevitable. Join us for an engaging talk on fall prevention, exploring practical tips, risk factors, and simple strategies to improve balance and safety at home and beyond. Whether you're concerned for yourself or a loved one, this talk will empower you with knowledge to stay active and independent.
On Tuesday, May 13, Dr. Nisha Rughwani will give a talk on avoiding falls. Dr. Rughwani is Medical Director of Mt. Sinai Morningside's Outpatient Geriatrics and Palliative Care Medicine, and is an authority on falls and fall prevention.

The talk will begin at 5PM, in the third floor dining room of the Brick Church at 62 East 92nd Street. To register for this talk, press the green button at the bottom of this page. The presentation must end by 6:15, since the room is scheduled for another meeting. Board member Pete Palmer and his wife Louisa have kindly offered to host a follow up gathering after the talk, for refreshments and conversation. This will take place in their home, at 1160 Park, directly across the street from the Brick Parish House. REGISTRATION FOR THE GATHERING IS SEPARATE FROM REGISTRATION FOR THE TALK, so that Pete and his wife can plan for the gathering. To register for the gathering, press here.
